Association for the appreciation of Monaco's Japanese Garden

Rencontre des adorateurs des jardins japonais de Monaco

In Monaco there lies a Japanese garden boasting a size of 0.7 ha.

The late princess of Monaco, Grace Kelly, had loved Japan for some time and wished to make a Japanese garden in Monaco. After she passed away in a car accident, her husband, Prince Rainier, fulfilled her wish, and the garden was opened in 1994.Fukuoka's Beppushoufuuen played an important role in the construction of this first genuine Japanese garden in Europe.

This association was founded with the goal to smoothly advance cultural exchange project preparation and management for promoting Japanese gardens, and to carry out activities that deepen the participants' mutual friendships.
